American Unit of the International Network of the
UNESCO Chair in Bioethics, Inc.
The American Unit became incorporated in 2011 to advance science and educate professionals and the public by (i) producing educational materials on bioethics, (ii) publishing books, articles, and other media, and developing a website, on bioethics, (iii) sponsoring conferences, lectures workshops, and symposia concerning bioethics, (iv) making grants to individuals for fellowships and scholarships to study bioethics, and (v) making grants to other non-profit organizations, individuals, and taxable organizations to study and/or educate professionals and the public on bioethics. The corporation is co-founded and co-directed by Dr. Terry R. Bard and Dr. Harold J. Bursztajn.
